Legalization Initiatives 2016
Collectives shall educate their members and the community regarding the responsible use of cannabis, the potential risks and benefits of cannabis use, and other issues impacting their well-being.
Pro-legalization advocates want Congress or the Obama administration to reclassify marijuana under sentencing laws so that it would carry lesser or no criminal penalties. Marijuana is currently considered a “Schedule I” drug, a category that includes heroin and LSD. Even cocaine is deemed less dangerous than pot under federal law.

Regional Outreach events in Spanish and English - Other Languages Coming Soon!
GLACA is in collaboration with ASA is launching educational events all over Southern California focusing on issues experienced in local communities with medical cannabis legalization and opportunities for therapeutic and wellness-focused cannabis use.
Our first set of events has focused on Latina/o outreach, and we hope to expand Spanish-language cannabis education throughout the United States.
Our English-language program is also in its infancy.
If you have an outreach community that you believe would be served by know-your-rights, the history of cannabis use and prohibition, and wellness-focused therapeutic cannabis use, please let us know! We would be happy to discuss forming a pilot program in your area.
