Collectives shall educate their members and the community regarding the responsible use of cannabis, the potential risks and benefits of cannabis use, and other issues impacting their well-being.
Pro-legalization advocates want Congress or the Obama administration to reclassify marijuana under sentencing laws so that it would carry lesser or no criminal penalties. Marijuana is currently considered a “Schedule I” drug, a category that includes heroin and LSD. Even cocaine is deemed less dangerous than pot under federal law.

The Greater Los Angeles Collective Alliance (GLACA) is a voluntary association of medical cannabis cooperative and collective operators in Los Angeles who have organized around a shared desire to provide safe access to patients with adherence to a strict code of operational guidelines.

Accreditation with GLACA
GLACA accreditation is a peer-approved process that has been in continuous development since the inception of the organization. Our accreditation team adjusts its procedures to reflect changing state and local laws as well as any member-approved adjustments to the GLACA Protocols.
Accreditation with GLACA is dependent on filling out any information about your collective on the official GLACA application form as well as sending in any and all relevant documents requested by the application. In addition, you must agree to follow GLACA's Protocols. Please Apply! We are stronger as a community.
Once we receive your application, we will call to confirm that within 30 days our team will conduct a surprise full accreditation / secret shopper visit. After our visit, our accreditation professionals compose a report of what we observed and suggestions to improve your business practices, helping ensure that your collective is operating at the highest level possible. The charge for this service is $250.
Once you have made any adjustments necessary to pass accreditation, we introduce you at one of our monthly membership meetings, and you can proudly display the GLACA logo. Accreditations are valid for a year (with a 3 month grace period to allow you to renew without incurring additional fees).
Monthly membership dues to GLACA are $250. As part of your membership we are excited to share with you our new and ongoing member services, including:
